Welcome to our all new IntelliUpdate micro-site. This website will give you all the information you need to know about IntelliUpdate, melaS Softwares Update utility. So what is IntelliUpdate®? IntelliUpdate is a new update utility developed by melaS Software for melaS Software products. IntelliUpdate, was originally developed for the International Lyrics dataBase successor (later released as i.Lyrics dB), which was due for release in December. On 28th November 2004, The earliest form of IntelliUpdate® made it's first public appearance as SmartUpdate. At this stage developement of melaS International's update utility was far from complete. SmartUpdate slowly evolved and became AutoUpdate. Then, in July 2005, along with the release of NetPLAYER 3, IntelliUpdate® was officially released. IntelliUpdate® may have been officially released, however it does not mean that developement of IntelliUpdate® will cease. No, we at melaS Software have a lot planned for IntelliUpdate®, one being that we would like IntelliUpdate® to be a stand-alone application that will allow a user to update any melaS Software product without launching the product itself, just by launching a stand-alone version of IntelliUpdate®. This would also allow for multiple programs to be updated at the same time (well not really, but one after the other). We also have some ideas for helping to improve the performance of the IntelliUpdate® update checking procedure. In order to make these plans we have for IntelliUpdate® a reality, we will now longer be distributing IntelliUpdate® with new melaS Software releases. This will allows us to totally re-develop IntelliUpdate® without affecting current IntelliUpdate® enabled applications too much.
